Friendly staff, safe clean room, lovely breakfast.

Wifi code not available in room, had to request from reception. Bathroom door in room does not fully close.

Staff was uniformly amazing and kind. Everyone remembered my name, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Have to name check Esther. So friendly and helpful. I booked for two nights thinking that I would move lodgings if I wasn’t comfortable, but ended up extending my stay and also booking a night on my way back through to fly home.

I really enjoyed my stay overall, especially the hotel’s central location—it made it very easy to walk everywhere and explore the area. Despite being above/connected to The Celt and in such a lively area, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. I had expected it to be much louder because of the pub downstairs and the busy location, but noise was not an issue at all, which was a great plus. The hotel also had a charming, quaint, and local feel that made the experience more unique and enjoyable. The room, while compact, was comfortable—I liked that the window could be opened and that there was good closet storage. The breakfast was another highlight: everything was delicious, and the staff, including the waitresses and cook, were very friendly and attentive. One small idea could be offering guests some kind of perk at The Celt, like help reserving a table or a complimentary drink, which could add a fun touch to the stay.

The room was a bit smaller than it appeared online, although I understand this is to be expected given the central location and the age of the building. The bathroom felt quite small and somewhat outdated, and could benefit from some light renovation to make it feel a bit fresher. A few small improvements—like adding more towel hooks near the sink—would also be helpful. The shower itself was fine, but the showerhead seemed a bit old and possibly slightly faulty, and it would be great to have a detachable option. There was also a loud dripping noise from the shower during the night on one occasion, which disrupted sleep; however, we didn’t report it at the time, so that is definitely on us. Lastly, while the breakfast was excellent, having a non-pork meat option could make it more inclusive for guests with dietary restrictions.

Tv is fairly terrible and room is just about big enough for two but if the price is as low as paid which was 78 per night bnb, won't really be a factor
